Making communication between sellers & buyers better… Much better

Today's buyers face information overload, bombarded by messages from all sides. This makes it challenging for sellers to capture their attention and close deals. Seismic's Digital Sales Room tackles this head-on. It creates a collaborative space for sellers and buyers to share deal-related content and communications seamlessly. Additionally, it captures engagement insights, accelerating the sales cycle by helping sellers understand buyer behavior and tailor their approach.

My role

As Product Design Manager, I spearheaded the Digital Sales Rooms project, guiding my team through user research, ideation, and meticulous execution. Understanding buyer and seller needs was crucial, as this two-way communication tool fosters seamless interaction. This unique challenge and product ignited my passion for crafting a solution that streamlines the sales journey.

THE DISCOVERY

Main task

HMW design a collaborative platform that functions as a central hub for deal communication, empowering sellers and buyers to seamlessly share and access deal-related content within comprehensive deal pages, ultimately streamlining the sales cycle and fostering informed decision-making?

Both users

To ensure the Digital Sales Room addressed the needs of both parties, we conducted user research with sellers and buyers. We explored how each group would benefit from a centralized communication platform, focusing on how it could improve overall collaboration and streamline information exchange.

Ideation

Informed by seller and buyer interviews, we crafted separate wireframes to explore the information architecture (IA) of each interface. This process helped us identify both unique needs and overlapping functionalities crucial for a successful, unified experience.
